Nifty ends at 7850, Sensex flat; Bharti, SBI, Reliance fall 2%

The market has ended flat after a lot of volatility. The The Nifty ended at 7849.80, up 2.55 points and the Sensex is up 3.52 points at 25606.62. Lupin, Cipla, NTPC, HDFC Bank and Tata Steel are top gainers while Bharti Airtel, SBI, Reliance, HUL and ICICI Bank.

Indian ADR: Infosys, HDFC Bank Dr Reddy’s Lab, Tata Motors slip

In the IT space, Infosys was down 0.33 percent at USD 18.89

Wipro fell up 0.18 percent at USD 12.16.

In the banking space, ICICI Bank was down 0.14 percent at USD 7.34

HDFC Bank slipped 0.65 percent at USD 62.83.

In the other sectors, Tata Motors shed 0.66 percent at USD 30.71

Dr Reddy’s Laboratories dipped 0.43 percent at USD 46.36.



Nifty ends at 7847 on April F&O expiry, Sensex cracks 461 pts

The market has ended with severe cuts as global markets were down reacting to Bank of Japan holding rates steady and F&O expiry added pressure. The Nifty ended April Future and Options (F&O) at 7847.25, down 132.65 points or 1.7 percent from previous close. The Sensex closed down 461.02 points or 1.8 percent at 25603.10.

About 857 shares have advanced, 1662 shares declined, and 168 shares were unchanged.


TCS, Lupin and Axis Bank were top gainers while Hindalco lost 5 percent. HDFC, Maruti, ITC and M&M were other laggards in the Sensex.
